iOS is the affectionate nickname for the Apple operating system that is used to run all of the mobile devices offered by the company. These include all models of the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV products. The current iOS 6 debuted in October 2012 with the release of the iPhone 5; however, the latest iOS 7 is set to take the world by storm this Fall. The recent versions have made plenty of improvements to older versions, including the built-in iMessaging features and iCloud storage capabilities. Also, the advanced Siri voice recognition feature was created from the development of a new iOS. Every so often, Apple makes improvements to the operating system; therefore, a new iOS will be released for updating current devices. It is the company’s method of updating their products and improving the way the system operates.
