This is the second time when my phone (iphone 13 pro) has locked me out even though I am 100% sure I’ve entered the correct passcode to unlock said phone (mind you, I have used this passcode for 2 years without an issue and it just suddenly stopped working.) I’ve had to completely wipe my phone of all its data just two days ago and I made sure the password was correct and remembered, the password had actually worked and was recognised by my phone for the day after the reset- until this morning when I tried entering it after the device said to enter the passcode in order for face id to be activated, and it did not recognise the very much correct passcode I’ve entered and reset just 2 days ago.

I have called apple and went to 2 different tech shops with all of them telling me to just wipe the phone once more because there was no other option- I don’t wish to spend the rest of my year wiping my phone time and time again; also tried recovering stuff using itunes and it’s only able to send an sms confirmation to my phone??? The very same phone that is not accessible and is the reason why I’m trying to sign into itunes???? This whole situation is just so frustrating; and all the tech people I’ve gone to did not believe me and told me that they’ve never heard of such a thing happening before and it just felt horrible knowing that I was telling the truth and explaining my situation. I give up 🙁

I find split screen very annoying and wish it could be a choice again as it should be. It is so narrow that I find it very difficult to read besides just being damn annoying.

Nothing worked. But as I didn’t expect it to I wasn’t disappointed.
Fact is the Firestick crashes at least twice a week and we just switch off, switch on and it clears.
As for the crap we are fed about ease of viewing and reliability, that’s, well ….. crap!

I switched over to start up on an external 1 terabyte ssd some months ago on my 2014 imac. It’s been great, however I some how set it up such that all of my storage is on the external drive which has now reached capacity. How would you recommend that I reorganize my disks such that the start up remains on the external, but the other storage can return to the internal hd? Is there a way to untangle this mess that a novice can handle?

This article is spot on. Although I have quite a few apps on my iPad Air 5 I bought it principally to use for navigation purposes. It is utterly infuriating when it decides to go into split screen mode especially as it will not allow me to drag the split screen, which is vertical rather than horizontal, completely to the top or the bottom. The only way I can get rid of it, albeit temporarily, is to switch it off. Worse than useless in my opinion. Split screen should only be an option to be switched on.

Good morning, I found your article very interesting. I can print via WiFi from my iMac to my Canon G7040 but I cannot copy or scan, get the error code you mentioned. I have done everything you have suggested, but to no avail, it still won’t scan over WiFi, it scans with a printer cable. The only setting I really had to change was the TCP/IP setting to automatic. I am ready to throw this useless printer away, have been battling to fix this problem for over a year now.

Danny, Thanks for your descriptive, easy-to-understand instructions. I chuckled when I read you had been using APPLE products for “over a decade” It made me feel very old, and reminded me that a young cat can teach an old cat new tricks. I started using APPLE computers in 1987 in Canada when I worked at a small company (Ad-Lib) selling the very first computer music card that allowed Apple computer users to create music on their systems. I think it was the Ad-Lib PCMS, but can’t quite remember what that stood for. How far Apple has ventured!

I hate the split screen feature on my new iPad mini. It makes it hard to read and it makes my screen unsteady,when I try to scroll. Worst thing ever!
